Olympic Games Introduction


Olympic Games are the most important events at the international level which are divided into two categories winter and summer sports where thousands of athletes donate all over the world in the multiplicity of opposition. Originally the Olympic Games were organized in Olympia, Greece, from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD. 
Baron Pierre de Coubertin founded the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1894. The Olympic Games have come to be regard as the world’s leading sports contest where more than 200 countries contribute in the events. The Games are at present held every two years, with summer and Winter Olympic Games irregular, while they happen every four years within their individual recurring games. The IOC has since become the central organization of the Olympic Games, whose arrangement and actions are distinct by the Olympic contract. The development of the Olympic Movement throughout the 20th and 21st centuries has consequence in more than a few changes to the Olympic Games.
